Welcome to the website of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (“AmCham Taiwan”, “AmCham”). Please read the following terms and conditions relating to your use of the AmCham website carefully. By accessing and using the AmCham website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of use.
These terms and conditions apply to your use of all sites and services owned or operated by AmCham, including www.amcham.com.tw and all its web pages, sub-domains and digital properties. Unless otherwise stated, all references to the AmCham website in these terms and conditions include all such web pages. These terms and conditions do not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which any part of the AmCham website may link.
AmCham reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. You should check these terms and conditions periodically for changes. If at any time you choose not to accept these terms and conditions of use, please do not use this website.
Access to and/or use of the AmCham website currently is free to all members of the public. AmCham reserves the right to charge for access to and/or use of its website in the future.

These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any action at law or in equity that arises out of or relates to these terms will be filed only in courts located in the Republic of China (Taiwan), and you hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. If any of these terms and conditions are found unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be considered severable from the remaining terms and conditions, and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
To comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (the “PDPA“) and to protect member’s interests, the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (“AmCham Taiwan“) hereby informs member of the following pursuant to the PDPA upon collecting and processing member’s personal data:
The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (AmCham Taiwan) is committed to complying in its operations with all applicable laws, including, but not limited to, Taiwan’s “Act to Implement the UN Convention Against Corruption” which came into force on May 20, 2015. Beyond complying with all legal requirements, AmCham Taiwan pledges to conduct its business in accordance with the highest levels of honesty and integrity, including its interactions with government officials and business enterprises.
Each officer, director and employee of AmCham Taiwan is expected to act in good faith and with integrity in the performance of their responsibilities on behalf of AmCham Taiwan and to report any indications of illegal or improper conduct.
It is the AmCham Taiwan policy to prohibit bribery and other corrupt conduct in any form by the Chamber or any representative acting on behalf of the organization. Bribery and kickbacks involving government officials, customers, suppliers and other counterparties in the commercial marketplace are specifically prohibited.
Accordingly, AmCham Taiwan and its representatives may not, directly or indirectly, offer, promise, pay, give or authorize any financial or other advantage, or anything else of value, to any other person or organization, with the intent to exert improper influence over the recipient or induce the recipient to violate their duties.
AmCham Taiwan prohibits harassment of any kind in the workplace, including sexual harassment, and has published the Sexual Harassment Prevention, Complaint and Investigation Policy (Policy) and formed an Anti-sexual Harassment Committee. AmCham Taiwan will take appropriate and immediate action in response to complaints or knowledge of violations of this Policy. For purposes of this Policy, harassment is any verbal or physical conduct designed to threaten, intimidate or coerce an employee, co-worker or any person working for or on behalf of AmCham Taiwan.
