AmCham member companies and organizations may take advantage of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) AmCham Program to apply for a visa without scheduling an appointment.

• AmCham members and employees of AmCham member companies who hold a Taiwan passport and are applying for a B-1/B-2 visa to visit the U.S. for business travel purposes.
• Members’ spouse and children (under 18) who hold a Taiwan passport and are applying for a B-1/B-2 visa together with the member.
• An applicant whose most recent visa application was denied is not eligible to apply through the AmCham program.  These applicants must schedule a regular appointment for their visa interviews.

1. Obtain a letter from AmCham verifying your AmCham status.  Contact the Membership Department at 02-2718-8226 ext. 216 or [email protected] for more details.
2. Please follow the instructions and steps on this page to prepare your application: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/tw/tw-niv-typeb1b2.asp.  If you qualify to apply through the AmCham program, please schedule a regular appointment first and then follow the instructions on this page to request an expedited appointment. Be sure to attach a scanned copy of the AmCham letter in your request.
3. Bring all your application items and supporting documents along with your AmCham letter to your interview on the appointment day.

* If you have an immediate need to travel, you should indicate that at the time of your interview with the consular officer at AIT.

As each person’s circumstances vary, AIT cannot guarantee the issuance of a visa.  We strongly suggest you do not pay for travel arrangements such as airfare without having a U.S. visa in your possession.  Applications through this AmCham program may not be submitted at the AIT Kaohsiung branch office.
