AmCham Advanced Learning Lab Seminar

Think of how most people show results of clinical trials. They will show them either as tables or bar charts, as shown below. As you can see, when the data is shown as charts, it makes the message and the meaning clearer and easier to understand.

However, when most presenters are dealing with complex data, such as the ones below, they need more advanced visualization skills. Precisely because these data sets are more complex, it is essential that we make them clearer and easier for our target audience to understand. Leaving them in the current complex format will not only make the message more difficult, it increases the chance of misunderstanding and delaying decision-making. Not a good idea!

During this seminar, you will learn how to select the best visualization for complex medical data related to demographics and epidemiology, treatment dosage, efficacy and safety. You will also learn guidelines to design charts that are easy to understand for your audience. And you will get access to videos and slide templates to help you quickly and easily create the recommended charts using Excel and PowerPoint.

Seminar Outline:

  1. How to visualize complex medical data related to
  • Demographics and epidemiology
  • Dosage
  • Efficacy
  • Safety
  1. Access to online training videos and PowerPoint slide templates
  2. Q&A with the speaker
