AmCham Advanced Learning Lab Seminar
Companies collect large amounts of data on product and business performance, customers and competitors, and economic trends in general—you name it.
The problem is that we still need people to interpret what all that data means—and then communicate it to our audience. How do most people manage this task? Very often, they just turn the data into default graphs—without any storyline linking those graphs. What is the result? Most audiences—without an overall picture—get overwhelmed by too many graphs and tune out.
What is missing is a storyline linking the data and the graphs into a coherent whole. In this seminar, you will learn how to apply storytelling techniques to data-heavy presentations so your audience can clearly see, understand, and appreciate the meaning behind all your data.
Seminar Outline
- Crafting meaningful headings and annotations that communicate the real meaning behind your data
- Designing simple, helpful graphs to highlight and support your message
- Creating a single storyline that coherently links all data into a single whole
