Date: April 18th, 2024
Time: 12:00 pm – 14:30 pm
Venue: Regent Hotel Taipei, 3F Ballroom B
Organizers: American Institute in Taiwan, AmCham Taiwan
Proposed Theme: Collaborative Diversity
Event Overview:
AIT and AmCham both recognize DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility) is essential to creating a stronger, more resilient and globally competitive workforce. As such, we plan to launch the first AIT-AmCham public-private partnership with a focus on our collective efforts on DEIA in 2024.
This luncheon stands as a celebratory reflection of both the United States and Taiwan’s steadfast commitment to DEIA enforcement. In 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order mandating all U.S. federal agencies to dismantle barriers to equal opportunity and dedicate resources to bolstering diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives. Similarly, Taiwan, recognized as a regional leader in human rights, freedom, and equality, holds the distinction of being ranked number one in Asia and fourteenth globally in the Human Freedom Index. Throughout the luncheon, we will have the privilege of hearing from prominent business and government leaders from both the United States and Taiwan, as they share their experiences and vision for DEIA.
