Celebrates 70 Years of Growth and Mutual Support

Celebrate the Chamber’s transformation from AmCham Taipei to AmCham Taiwan! 

Commemorate 70 years of AmCham’s dedication to bolstering US-Taiwan economic relations, including:

• Playing a vital role in 1978-79 in forging the Taiwan Relations Act and preserving U.S. community organizations following U.S. “derecognition.”
• Helping guide Taiwan’s entry into the World Trade Organization in the 1990s.
• Promoting Taiwan’s adoption of a 60-day Notice & Comment period for regulatory changes in the 2010s.
• Current championing of a Bilateral Trade Agreement and other steps to tighten the bonds between the two economies.
