2026 AmCham Doorknock Town Hall

About the Event
From June 22 to 26, 2026, AmCham Taiwan’s annual Doorknock delegation traveled to Washington, D.C. for a full week of high-level engagement on the U.S.–Taiwan relationship. The delegation — led by Chairperson Anita Chen and President Carl Wegner, joined by committee co-chairs, member company representatives, and Chamber staff — completed a record 52 meetings, including 38 meetings on Capitol Hill and three evening receptions.
Highlighted Executive Branch engagements included AIT Washington, the National Security Council (NSC), the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), and the Departments of State, Commerce, Treasury, Senate and House, alongside meetings with congressional offices from both parties and leading think tanks and business organizations.
This year’s discussions made one thing clear: economic security is now national security. Across nearly every meeting, Taiwan was framed not simply as a geopolitical issue but as an indispensable economic and technological partner — from semiconductors and AI infrastructure to trusted supply chains, critical minerals, drone co-production, and defense industrial cooperation. Ending double taxation once again stood out as the signature economic ask and one of the most achievable near-term wins for the bilateral relationship.
Join us at this members-only Town Hall as the Doorknock delegation debriefs the Chamber on key takeaways from Washington, what U.S. policymakers are asking of Taiwan, and how these findings will shape AmCham’s advocacy agenda for the rest of 2026. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A moderated via Slido.
