Inspired by the Lai administration’s multilevel approach to resilience, AmCham Taiwan is honored to partner with AmCham Ukraine to present a landmark session on Whole-of-Society Resilience and Business Continuity. This is an exceptional opportunity to hear firsthand from Ukraine’s multinational business leaders, who have courageously navigated some of the most challenging disruptions of the century.

We are privileged to welcome Andy Hunder, President of AmCham Ukraine, who will join us alongside business leaders from top multinational companies in Ukraine, sharing their knowledge and experience with the AmCham Taiwan community and other stakeholders. They will share powerful lessons and strategies on contingency planning, agility in crisis management, and how businesses can not only endure but flourish in the face of adversity. About the Speakers:

Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine

A native Londoner, Andy was a TV presenter on a leading Ukrainian television channel. He headed the Public Relations department at Ukrainian Mobile Communications (now Vodafone Ukraine) and subsequently was External Affairs and Communications Director at GlaxoSmithKline with responsibility for Ukraine, Central Asia and the Caucasus. Hunder was the director of the Ukrainian Institute in London, regularly delivering analysis and comment on Ukrainian current affairs on BBC, CNN, SKY, Bloomberg TV, ITV, Al Jazeera, and others. He has spoken on Ukrainian affairs at the UK Houses of Parliament, House of Lords, Oxford University, London School of Economics, and University College London. From 2016 till 2020, Andy Hunder served as Treasurer of AmChams in Europe, the umbrella organization of 49 AmChams across 47 countries throughout Europe and Eurasia. AmChams in Europe represents the interest of more than 17,000 American and European companies in Europe, with more than 20 million jobs on both sides of the Atlantic and $1.1 trillion in investments. Andy serves on the Supervisory Board of Ukraine’s Business Ombudsman Council, Ukraine Invest, and Ukrainian Catholic University.

 

Kristina Linichenko, McDonald’s GR, ESG and Philantropy Manager Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia

Her way in the food industry began 20 years ago, when she started career in the Government Department of Food Industry of the Ministry of agriculture policy of Ukraine. She was interested in improving her skills as a civil servant, so she decided to get an education in the field of public administration in addition to the master’s degree in international business management.

In 2022, 3 days before the war, she joined the McDonald’s team as a Public Affairs consultant and in 6 months become an acting head of Communications department in McDonald’s. Kristina has played an essential part in business recovery, has been a strong company voice in communication with government structures and business associations, and helped implement several other important projects, such as security and support.

In her new role, since 2023 Kristina is promoting legislative efforts that are beneficial to the organization operations in all 3 countries and collaborate with public relations officers on campaigns to earn the backing of government officials and the public by promoting McDonald’s values and impact activities. Kristina also responsible for implementing  sustainability strategy and ESG reporting.

 

Artem Prykhodko, General Manager, InterContinental Kyiv

With over 13 years of experience in the hotel industry, I’ve climbed the ranks from a sales and marketing background to my current role as General Manager. My journey began in the airline and automotive sectors, where I honed my customer service and operational management skills. Now, as a General Manager, I leverage my diverse background to drive operational efficiency and deliver exceptional guest experiences in these challenging enviroment. My passion for excellence fuels my commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that InterContinental Kyiv remains a leader in the hospitality market.

 

 

Leonid Polupan, Director of Microsoft Ukraine, Country Manager of Microsoft Ukraine and Baltics

Leonid Polupan has been the Country Manager for Microsoft in Ukraine and the Baltics since July 2023, following his role as Country Manager of Ukraine from November 2022. He focuses on AI, cloud services, digital infrastructure, and cybersecurity to support Ukraine’s critical sectors. With over 15 years of experience in enterprise sales, Leonid has led Microsoft’s operations across 24 markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Microsoft, he held leadership roles at VENBEST GROUP and Vodafone. Since the war in Ukraine began, Leonid has overseen Microsoft’s $500 million commitment to support the country, demonstrating his belief in technology’s power to drive progress during times of crisis.
