- Helping create a friendly business, investment and regulatory environment for management, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Helping enhance governance and build up norms for alternative asset classes spanning private equity, family offices, venture capital, real assets, digital currencies and assets, hedge funds and private credit.
- Facilitating an open and transparent investment market for local and foreign investors.
- Continuing the dialogue among stakeholders on an open and free market for listing and delisting, entry and exit, and better corporate governance.
- Expanding the committee’s scope to include institutions from the venture capital industry in order address objectives and concerns by both local and foreign investors in order to ensure start-ups have access to funding that will fuel their immediate and long-term growth.
- Engaging with and advising regulators on the creation of needed policies that will facilitate the long-term development of a family office industry in Taiwan, while expanding the spectrum of products in which local and foreign family offices can invest in order to further attract single- and multi-family offices to invest in Taiwan.
- Exploring how prudent investment by public pension funds in alternative assets such as private equity could help meet national pension fund obligations.
- Creating a platform for discussion and education on the development of digital assets and currencies as well as real-world assets, in order to assist the committee and AmCham Taiwan to become a trusted partner to regulators, institutions and investors as it fulfills its advocacy role.
