AmCham Committees
The foundation of AmCham Taiwan’s advocacy platform
Much of the real work of the Chamber occurs at the committee level and many of AmCham’s successes in lobbying for an improved business environment can be traced to them. AmCham Taiwan comprises 25 committees that represent and promote the specific interests of their fields of business.
Each industry committee creates a Priority Issues Paper included in the annual Taiwan White Paper, which is presented to the government and the public as a summary of the current business climate in Taiwan for each specific field. AmCham Taiwan also includes several Special Committees that organize and host professional, social and recreational services for members and for the Taiwan community at large.
Major events overseen by these committees include the annual American Ball, Hsieh Nien Fan and others. The Committees are listed below.
In May 2022, the AmCham Taiwan Board of Governors approved the Committee Guidelines as general principles to support committee work that is effective and consistent with AmCham Taiwan norms and values.
