Business Climate Survey
2026 Report
Amid a shifting economic and geopolitical landscape, the 2026 Business Climate Survey captures continued confidence among members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan. While uncertainty remains a defining feature of the operating environment, respondents continue to express optimism about Taiwan’s economic fundamentals and their own business prospects.
Conducted between November 18 and December 21, 2025, the survey found that 82% of respondents are confident in Taiwan’s economic outlook over the next 12 months, with confidence rising to 84% over the next three years. Company-level sentiment follows a similar pattern, with strong confidence in revenue growth prospects across both time horizons.
Reflecting this outlook, 92% of respondents plan to maintain or increase investment in Taiwan in 2026. Investment priorities increasingly emphasize resilience and technological capability, including continued growth in AI- and innovation-related activity. Taken together, the findings suggest that while risk awareness has increased, it is no longer constraining long-term investment decisions in Taiwan.
