2025 Report
As we navigate a shifting economic landscape, the 2025 Business Climate Survey captures optimistic sentiment among AmCham Taiwan members. Although the pace of future economic growth shows signs of moderation, a steady 80% of respondents express confidence in Taiwan’s economic prospects for the next 12 months. Meanwhile, optimism regarding the next three years is at 77% slightly more cautious. Respondents overall agree that Taiwan is a great place to do business, citing its strategic location, stable economy, and competitive advantages.
The survey, conducted between November and December 2024, indicates that while 82% of respondents reported stable or increased revenue in 2024, concerns such as geopolitical tensions, workforce challenges, and the pace of regulatory reforms persist.
Nonetheless, 90% of companies plan to maintain or increase their investment in Taiwan in the upcoming year. AmCham members also express that they feel less affected than before by cross-Strait tension, with only 7% of respondents reported being significantly disrupted by tension last year, further demonstrating Taiwan’s resilience and adaptability in the face of unprecedented challenges.
