We’re Hiring: Committee Manager – Healthcare Sector
The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (AmCham Taiwan) is seeking a Committee Manager under Government & Public Affairs Team to support its advocacy efforts in the healthcare sector. This full-time role offers a dynamic opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, shape policy dialogue, and contribute to AmCham’s mission of promoting a strong U.S.-Taiwan business environment.

Roles and responsibilities / what will the jobholder be expected to achieve?
- Map out and maintain a wide network of productive connections with the Taiwanese authorities (particularly MOHW NHIA and TFDA), key research institutes, experts, and industry. Attend conferences, seminars, and networking events to build connections.
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue new cooperation opportunities in healthcare policy: Work closely with co-chairs to ensure we understand committee priorities and are positioned to deliver on them. You will report to the Senior Manager of Government and Public Affairs and work collaboratively with others in the team.
- Promote and advocate for US strengths in the healthcare sector, including policy and regulatory leadership. Work with the AmCham GA team to promote relevant international policy and innovation developments and initiatives to decision-makers in government.
- Deliver key policy workstreams: You will lead on delivering our regular committee meeting and annual events, working with multilevel stakeholders to identify topics of mutual interest and high-profile outcomes to further collaboration. You will work on deepening bilateral exchanges on drug policy and medical devices standards as well as address market access issues for the healthcare sector.
- Provide timely reporting on key policy developments and emerging trends in Taiwan. Advocate and promote the value of AmCham committees and foreign investment to the Taiwanese government by analyzing our membership’s impact on regional and global markets.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience
- Confident in networking, including with senior government officials.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including confidence in suggesting new ideas and ways of working.
- Ability to analyze and assess different forms of information, evidence, and data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft high quality written material to short deadlines and to present with confidence to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize competing demands.
Language requirements:
Full professional fluency in English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
