We’re Hiring: IT and Cybersecurity Consultant

As the IT and Cybersecurity Consultant at AmCham, you will lead the development and execution of the organization’s IT Security strategy while aligning it with broader organizational goals. This role is pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring the effective utilization of technology to support AmCham’s strategic objectives.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (台灣美國商會 ) is the most impactful and influential NGO in Taiwan, with about 1,200 members from more than 580 companies in the global business community. The staff group of AmCham office is about 25 people.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess current IT infrastructure and security posture.
  • Identify new risks, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop a scalable and flexible security architecture.
  • Integrate controls and technologies to mitigate risks.
  • Create an implementation roadmap with timelines and milestones.
  • Define roles for internal team and third-party collaborators.
  • Develop incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  • Prepare and present budgets for security solutions.
  • Implement security protocols according to the roadmap.
  • Monitor progress and effectiveness of security measures.
  • Train internal teams on security measures and best practices.
  • Coordinate communication on security and emergency response.
  • Prepare regular and final reports for leadership.

Scope of Work:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the current IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with third parties to gather insights and data.
  • Document existing security measures and protocols.
  • Ensure the architecture supports future growth.
  • Present plans and budget requests to key stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to the internal team.
  • Compile comprehensive documentation for security architecture and implementation.
  • Develop emergency response and data governance documentation.
  • Coordinate and command emergency response measures.
  • Prepare reports summarizing the project’s outcome and future recommendations.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience, with increasing levels of accountability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and risk management requirements.
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors.

License/Certification/Registration:

  • Industry-relevant CISO certifications or security audit qualifications

Desired Education & Experience:

Advanced degree in a related field.

  • 具有管理第三方供應商的經驗。

行業相關證照:

  • 具行業相關的CISO認證或安全審計資格
